Of 200 Mary Street, Martin Wilson Warehouse departed this life in 1982. Born in the early 1900s, Martin Wilson was adopted by several owners. Martin Wilson was considered a gem in the heart of Brisbane city due to the Brisbane Tuff stone that made up the warehouse’s body. Martin Wilson was also famous for the facilitation of shipping and transporting relations in Brisbane. Martin Wilson also competed in several Warehouse Cricket Fixtures and won.
After Wilson’s death, the body was reused in geologist Tony Shellshear’s home in Browns Plains. After 4 years Martin Wilson Warehouse was replaced by an 18-storey tower.
