Situated on the corner of Charlotte Street, the Robert Reid building died in 1977. Robert Reid was born in 1916 as a product of the architect Chamber and Powell, and builder Blair Cunningham. A report described Robert Reid Building as: “there is something incongruous about the outward expression of this building.” Robert Reid Building was survived by a hole for 3 years before being replaced by a 22-storey office tower.
